IMHO.
SA will stabilize the ship, tighten up the defense, and we will avoid relegation.

SA will NOT dazzle the fans with exciting attacking football, or win us a trophy.

In conclusion, a conservative and 'short-term' fix.
Pretty much what we've had for years mate. Another 18 months won't make much difference, not that I see him here in 18 months like.

Trying to be positive here but it's hard.

It's very unlikely we'll be near the relegation zone for very long with him in charge. The football will be negative and dull... but safe. We'll be well organised and pull off a few upsets.

Have him take us on until we can get a more tactically ambitious manager in the summer. Just don't give him too much autonomy in the transfer window - his type of signings could set us back years.

When has Allardyce worked with a director of football and also with the kind of budget we have ?

Comparing his dealings at relegation fighting clubs is hardly an accurate forecast.

We've got Walsh to oversee the transfers. What could possibly go wrong,,,,?

Anyone else see this idiot last night at the match? Pathetic Kopite like behaviour. Is this what we've come to as a fan base FFS?!View attachment 42568

Nah that's harsh that.

She is an evertonian who probably doesn't have anywhere to channel her discontent. We can smash our keyboards here and feel better about it, but that blue - ticket paid and attending on a cold midweek night - just wanted to have her say on a contentious issue.

Plus, that's someone's (likely another blue) mother. Show some decency

Just on this, Dave I have say I was getting concerned.
Like you I’ve seen us win the lot and also stay up on the last day.
These last weeks we’ve deffo looked more like the 94/98 teams than anything else.
Obvious that you don’t want the fella and that’s fair enough, you’re not alone - but here he is, we simply have to get on with it for now at least.
Mate, I have NO interest this time around in backing embattled managers or warring with them.

I'm sitting this one out unless he proves a complete disaster.

I just want some decent football to be proud of and a top ten finish.

I dont think I anywhere near dislike Allardyce as much as some do. I just see him as a bit of a dinosaur and an unnecessary appointment.

Also, could not give a flying one if the football is dull. I enjoyed going to the match under Moyes far more than I did in two of Martinez’s three seasons of ‘flair’ football.

Wins are entertaining.
Is right. If we play dull, beat a few of the top teams. I'd take that all day.

Kenwright not having anything to do with it.

Times are changing.

the best bit about all this is kenwright seemingly being absent from ANY photo's and no quotes directly from him.

he always loved a massive fanfare announcement regards managers and signings, him not being there does indicate to me that changes are afoot.

about time our owner took hold of the rains.
