No - we were behind at half time. After half time, Allardyce made two attacking changes, in the 45th minute Rooney for McCarthy, and in the 54th minute Niasse for Calvert-Lewin. Gana scored the equaliser in the 57th minute.

In the 71st minute, he took off Gana - exactly why we don't know. He brought on Bolasie, presumably in the knowledge that a more open game would make another goal - at either end - more likely.

It was a gamble and, in the event, the next - and winning - goal went to Bournemouth.

That's why I said if Sam went by his old way, bring Williams on to park the bus then there would be a draw not a more open game.

It’s not a crime to say the squad is not good enough. It’s not. We blamed Koeman, then Unsworth, now Allardyce. There’s no miracle worker out there who will have us challenging the top 6 with no left back and DCL and Niasse upfront along with a mercenary midfield devoid of pace or creativity (if Rooney doesn’t play). Recruitment has been poor both in the attributes the players have and the characters we’ve brought in.
OK thanks for not rising to my cheap jibes. Do you think that this sorted of cynicism and pressure helps your club progress mush?

My cynicism and pressure doesn’t affect anything. We happy clapped the players under Martinez. ‘You’re like Ballack Ross’ ‘Deulofeu is magic’ ‘money can’t buy you Stones’. They turned in two bottom half performances that were rescued somewhat by players like Osman Naismith and Lennon. We tried criticism, impatient booing etc. Apparently the players don’t respond to that either. They didn’t respond to Roberto, Koeman, Unsworth and we’ve seen signs of regression back to the mean under Allardyce. The pattern is the same, they’ll play for a new manager if they feel their place is under threat and as soon as it’s apparent it’s not they just go right back to the lads on tour can’t be arsed mode. A clean brush tight through the whole squad is needed. The attitude of the fans has nothing to do with a glaring lack of quality and application in the first team squad. The root of this is complete mismanagement of the football side of the club since Moyes left but especially recruitment.

Spot on... the worst thing koeman and Martinez did was keep the old guard around. Whilst they are at the top of the dressing room nothing will change.

We were supppsed to be bringing in leaders yet we brought in schoolboys and a load that just like to lark around. Schneiderlin and Klaassen were supposed to be potential captains. One can’t get in the team the other is a clown. Rooney and Pickford seem to be the only ones with leadership mindsets.

“The start of next season. When it’s all been sorted out in the summer," he said when asked how long it would be before he had the side the way he wanted them.

He’s just spinning it out to pull in as much cash as possible......

Why are you credentials such to make this assessment mush? Is it better or more astute than those running or coaching your club?

Spot on, we need a clear out of the bad attitudes and those who aren't good enough.
