The flare into the sky this for the grand clearout

Interesting too that he is bringing in his people (an ex - CFO at BP apparently) before Allardyce / Walsh get the chance to spend any money....

I have no faith in Moshiri whatsoever.

It does look though like Allardyce wont be allowed to dwell a moment longer than is necessary.

The 18 month contract and those words from the errand boy there suggest he'll barely get his coat off before being shown the door again.

I doubt very much we'll have Sam Allardyce by this time next year.

It was a panic appointment and it looks like a case of belt and braces from Moshiri: we'd have retained PL status probably anyway, but he wants it copper-bottomed.

Surely he won't be given any funds to spare in January to bring in his dross to suit his style of play? We'll be left with even more unneeded players the real new Manager will need to turnover next Summer.
A completely pointless, panic appointment this.

No mate, its the fact that we`re supposed to be moving forward into a bright new shiny future.

Not one with Fagan at the helm.

Ok
Let’s move forward and not have selective memory loss when discussing crooks, thugs and rogues.
It applies to all employees so get rid of anyone with a dodgy past.
You and I know that won’t happen so let’s not just apply it to BS cos it’s suits some people’s personal agenda

I hope they'll have an idea on who may come in the summer, and a significant reason behind a director of football is continuity when managers come and go...

I don't have any faith in him in terms of mad net spends or having any real motivation beyond vast profits when we move.

There's a key phrase in the interview: Corrupt Sam "uses the players that he has". Does he get the best out of some players? Certainly. Does this suggest that there won't be huge pots of cash in January? Very possibly.

But that EvertonTv interview is so significant. It is Moshiri, speaking live about Everton, with Bill nowhere nearby. There is no fanfare and equally no relegation terror (and ffs there wasn't any need to). And Allardyce isn't a long term appointment and he won't get more than til the end of the summer even if he defies the odds and wins the Cup - he's doing a Guus Hiddink job here. Come in, sort out the unprofessional mess left by the previous incumbent, take your cash and retire. Suits all parties bar those of us reviled by having a man of his dubious track record in charge.

No agenda with me mate.

I'm just not very happy that we have a crook as our manager.

It's as simple as that.

Hence the 18mth contract.

He walks away happy, having trousered the majority of it despite only working for six months.
