This is still the Koeman/Walsh squad, and it shows in games like this. We have gone backwards since the Moyes/Roberto squad (his first season), despite the record spending.
This summer will need yet another rebuild, and to do that we will need a manager who can do that . Big Sam is not a team builder/project manager.
He's like a short order cook, pulling together a tasteless meal using uninspiring ingredients. When what we really want is a gourmet chef creating a masterpiece.

Playing Rooney in the Gueye role was bonkers, it completely nullified our one player capable of opening them up.

As for the subs: we are one down, why not go two up front, give their weak defence some problems.

You aren't managing Palace now.

Sam has made our defenders defend deeper instead of there been massive gaps mostly-thats been the change in not conceeding tons and us been lucky, plus not have to many move forward really,if tosun comes in or any one else,he needs to change the way hes managing us,he then cant blame us like hes doing for not getting a forward as he has players like lookman who runs at people, and hes the one that picks the team etc, sounds like 3 or 4 changes for the derby as well

Literally no different to how we've been playing all season. We absolutely stink.

Except for the fact that Allardyce thinks he’s some sort of defensive demi-god and won’t shut up about what he’s done. I’m sure it’s the players faults Now though. The utter fraud
