Still remains in the league Unsworth 1.4ppg, Allardyce 1.5ppg. On that basis we’d have 1 less point.

Rubbish. Ignores the number of games played, ignores the fact Allarydce has faced Liverpool, Chelsea and Man Utd. Ignores the manner of the defeats, the defensive frailties under Unsworth and the ease with which the likes of S'ton battered us.

It's absolutely stupid to pretend that Unsworth would be doing a better/comparable job right now. There are plenty of clubs in trouble at the bottom of the league - mark my words, none of them will be offering Unsworth the managers job.

He should go and cut his teeth at a lower league club because he was out of his depth in the Everton manager's job.

There were also points made before he came that it takes a while for him to get going and maybe we will, I don't know, but Jesus, we are playing some sinfully god awful, don't let the kids watch this stuff.

No Sandro, no Klaasen because they're duds, yet Morgan starts every game and he's hopeless.

Agree with most of what you say mate. But most of it has to come down to recruitment - DCL/Niasse up front, lack of options in other areas, Klaassen/Sandro being duds.

We are playing some dire stuff, but we desperately need to recruit some talent.

Which does suggest it was the strategy all along. Sell our stars and play percentage football until the stadium is built.

We let Ronald Koeman flush our biggest transfer warchest down the toilet and now we've been left with no saleable assets and a squad which is in even bigger need of surgery than it already was. We have a lot of work to do.

It might be down to having a non-footballer playing left back who needs as much protection from as many players as is practically possible to stop us getting bummed to death down that side.
