Face it, unless your squad's on a certain level, it's more important to not lose than to win these days...football's messed up.

This is the philosophy that I don't understand from managers. A loss and a win is better than two draws and in this league every team is beatable. But yet 13 teams in this league set up to draw every game.

You can still play football and be where we are in the table with poorer players than we have.

From me to you, that's one of the most succinct things I've ever seen you type on here. That simple point has applied to us, for a LONG time...well done.

For me it's tied to confidence, as a squad of players, I've rarely felt it out of them...spanning most managers.

We have problems at both ends of the pitch. We have very few goal scorers in the squad and a creaking defence. Sam has probably taken the right approach of organising the team to provide additional support to the defence but obviously this leads to a lone striker being isolated. Now that we have a little breathing space and have brought in a striker I would be very disappointed if we don’t see a more progressive approach in the second half of the season

Moyes looks to be pulling up a few trees at WHU, they're playing some good stuff but I guess it underlines how difficult it is to get managerial appointments right. I'm ambivalent about Sam, he won't take us down but I'm not overly optimistic that he will take us forward and I reckon most Hammers fans felt the same way a few seasons back. Silva meanwhile looks damaged, though I think it's no coincidence that their form dipped after we turned his head. Would like to hear from some of the Watford fans who got all hot and bothered on here a few weeks ago.

David Moyes: 11 league games, 4 wins , 3 draws, 4 losses. Fixtures including away to City, away to Spurs, away to us (Unsy's last game), home to Arsenal, home to Chelsea.

Sam Allardyce: 8 league games, 3 league wins, 3 draws, 2 losses. Fixtures including away at Anfield, home to United, home to Chelsea (the others all pretty easy).

Big game today.
