We have a lot of work to do, to catch up and compete with the top six imo.All those clubs are still a fair bit ahead of us.Im confident though that we can overhaul Burnley, and finish 7th, which unfortunately is our glass ceiling for the time being.
Leicester will finish above us. Watford and Burnley could too.

Except only us and Palace have managed a draw, everyone else has lost, so I don't see how that adds up.

Talking about the 1 team. Same can't be said against United, RS etc.

And overall, it's about the players you have. You think you're attack is good and defence solid, you go for it. If it's not and you still go for it, you get punished.

End of the day it's not just a case or defending and attacking, there's a balance.

He acknowledges that we're poor in possession under him and does nothing about it.

He is the ultimate cynic.
Don't remember us being any better in possession under Unsworth Koeman and the later stages of Martinez. In the amount of games he's been in charge are you expecting miracles?

I'd love to know what the first XI he'd like to field would be, both now and at the start of next season (in the terrifying event he is still in charge).

No, but if you look at the near 1000 games he has managed it is fair to say that he has a style.

That style is enough to scrap to around 40-50 points.

Whether that is good enough for Everton is the question.

Not for me.

I fear the horror will continue. If we are doing alright in April I sense a contract extension. At which point I will cry.

You’ve got to take into account the opposition but it’s ironic one of the best attacking displays of our season was under shakespeare’s watch in Cyprus.

The fact he is being allowed to trade players is the bit that concerns me.

If we were serious about a long term manager (say Paolo Fonseca) I can say with 100% assurance they'll have exactly opposite requirements for their players.
