But when I see half-arsed statistical analysis knocking around purporting to prove things one way or another -- like the terrible thing you just quoted to me -- I'll urge everyone to take it with a pinch of salt.

Ok then, please, explain to me how looking at the last 5 matches of every opponent we played and showing that they have shots on target is flawed in any way/shape/form?

Not at all, you've been shown it in several different ways and are simply lacking the mental faculties to process it.

We've even given you the chance to provide a counter-argument in any way you see fit beyond 'hur hur there is improvement'.... and you've not been able to.

My lad just come back in from the game, he was saying that when McCarthy's number went up to say he was coming off, and then it was clocked Schneiderlin was coming on, loads of Everton fans all around just got up and got off, he said it looked like at least a quarter of the away end was empty...................................the Allardyce effect.
