What would his compensation packet be and would Moshiri pay it?

Edit: Also, who's signing is Tosun? Surely if there was any doubt the manager would be here in 6 months, he wouldn't be making expensive signings or any signings at all (see David Moyes)?

In football the praise is as knee-jerk as the criticism.

Sure, a good start but some comments are over the top. He has beat Huddersfield (H), Newcastle (A) and Swansea (H) and got a point at Liverpool.

Do you get less points for these games?

You can only beat what is put in front of you.

Absolutely, but clearly, some games are a lot easier than others - the point was fans were getting carried away and the praise was as knee jerk as any inevitable fume when it goes tits up.

4 league games - 10 points from a possible 12, 7 goals scored and 2 conceded.

Compare that with the 4 games before he took over (I'm going to exclude West Ham because I think his influence had already seeped in). 4 points from a possible 12, 6 goals scored, 10 goals conceded.

He's not the second coming of Pep Guardiola, but I don't know why you'd begrudge him the praise he's getting for turning around our defensive fortunes so quickly.

No, he certainly isn't...

Can’t wait for this season to be over and BFS gone.

Something is very wrong at this club.

It needs a big sweep right through the whole place and a new manager with new ideas and total control.

I get your overarching point to an extent except for the bolded part. Name 2 players that played today that have been here under 5 managers.

We don't have 'a core' anymore. With the exception of Jags Baines and Coleman, they are all new players.
I shouldn't have said team what I meant was squad. Three of the 4 I've listed have been everton captain. They're seen as leaders within the squad but they're failures, they are a distinct part of the problem. None of them can take a game by the scruff of the neck or drive us forward. They don't lead on the pitch. Baines did to an extent in his heyday but we haven't had a standout captain or leader for such a long time. Thats symbolic to me as a reflection of a lack of leadership and responsibility within the club. The rs had Gerrard, the mancs had Keane, Bruce, Rooney in his prime, citeh had kompany and toure, Chelsea Lampard and Terry. Great sides have great leaders and captains, we have people who are elevated to this leadership status but they aren't born leaders and when we need a leader we don't have one. Fair enough Williams is relatively new but he's experienced. Coleman is probably the closest thing we have to a natural leader in and off the pitch. The rest can gtfo.

Get Garbutt in at left back. Do not let this man spend a penny more of the club's money. He needs to be gone in May if this club is serious about it's proclaimed ambitions. Yes we are not great, but a squad as expensive as ours being dismantled at will in every game is deeply concerning. The lack of attacking intent is shocking. The arrogance of this man is unbelievable, he should not be anywhere near a club like Everton. His interviews make me sick, talks as if we are palace or Sunderland, and I've had it with him as I'm sure plenty of other blues have.

You know your in trouble when the Manager is saying that we attacked too much and we didn't get a single shot on target. We looked very much like we did in the last days of Koeman today, perhaps worse if you take our shocking shots on target stats into account in the recent games. End of the season cannot come fast enough. 4 more wins required out of 15 games and then lets hope that we part ways with not just Sam but quite a few others too.

Something I’m not getting is that this is now the 3rd manager in a row to use this 4-2-3-1 formation. And I can’t be arsed with it anymore.

It doesn’t work.

It works if you have the right players...

e.g.

1 midfielder who sits, the other just works off them. A #10 who actually gets inbetween the lines and passes the ball forward. Wide players who can actually run, beat a man and cross a ball.

But I agree, it's just disgusting to watch at the moment.
