Honestly, I thought the club would have looked at what has been a pretty poor reception (majority) to this and try to brief him and bit better and at least make him look happy.

Instead it came across very much like, I am coming out of retirement for a big payday, am not really arsed about Everton, ramble ramble ramble, boards ambition, ramble ramble ramble.

I actually thought he looked more miserable the Koemans first interview by a long shot.

I so badly wanted to think differently after seeing his first interview, however its just gave me an even worse view on him.

To be fair mate, that's the way Allardyce always is in those types of interviews/unveiling vids.

He was very much like that in his first England press conference for example

The whole of Evertons pr is piss poor mate so I wasn't really surprised. From Moshiri telling informing Jim White Allardyce is our manager 2 hours before the website put out ( the worst ) statement to the likes of the video yesterday, it just comes across as amateurish with no care and attention to how it may or not be seen.

I Certainly didn't watch it and think "now here's a forward thinking club"

Also, before anyone tries to defend it - I know he would have been tired due to flights from Dubai and it's been a whirlwind couple of days but this is where the pr department come in and have a brief to work to such as "say a b and c, mention your work with d and e, smile, be positive"

Dont buy it though mate, he rambled through it like he didn't know what he was talking about.

The club (again their fault) should have been into him saying you need to give off a good vibe here and get the supporters on your side.

Instead they let him mumble through it talking rubbish, and looking like he has just been told he has a £2k MoT bill.

Its easy to brief, and say - look a bit happy you're the everton manager now, try and get the fans pumped and on your side.

No, no, we got "I thought Everton was a great club, oh is a great club."

Nope but i know Alardyces stats at the pit mate and they aren't good

Not just The Pit.

Sky showed his record against last season's top six and it is quite appalling.

That said, apart from a few seasons with Bolton, he has always been playing against those teams with a pretty poor tram of his own so I suppose it is not surprising he has struggled.
