I thought it was a dig at Kenwright eggs, basically saying he was gonna build himself a platform to go with the train set he's taken off Bill

Crap joke I know.
I think Moshiri thought that Koeman was in charge of platform building at Everton and gave him the resources to do so, unfortunately it just didn't work out.

Allyrdyce is experienced, knows the Premiership, can work with much smaller budgets and is regarded by quite a few in the game as being underrated as a manager and coach.

In recent seasons he has been branded as a troubleshooter who goes in and rescues ailing clubs and I don't think that is what he wants to be remembered for. This is the chance he has always wanted, the chance he feels that he deserved and we will see if he is proven right, I think it actually may be a very astute signing by the club.
If he does nothing else he will sort out the squad which is underperforming and very unbalanced.

Time will tell won't it mate

Like he did with Koeman?
Keep on fetching im Mercenaries like Sam is expensive and damaging to the teams position and squandered transfer Kitty!

Yes he is on a good wedge but we would have had to pay to get Silva of upwards of 20m then pay his wages so Alladyce has come relatively cheap to what Silva would have cost. We could go back for Silva or the like in summer so Alladyce just has to plug the leaky gaps and make us tough to beat then pass over to someone else.

My feelings entirely.

He is also a manager of vast experience who has managed at every level. On top of that he is a good man manager in the Harry Redknapp mold, who I believe will get the players together and pulling in the same direction. There are probably not many really good man managers about, add to that the fact that most footballers think they are untouchable these days due to the circus they are involved in financially.

As Mosh said, he has been appointed to give us a platform to which we will then hopefully push on from.

Let's all put Martinez and Koeman behind us and give the guy a chance.

Joey, would you be happy with anybody apart some dyed in the wool ex everton player?

Let me try and spell it out for you as the last however many years seem to have passed you by.

Football is a business, decisions are made, sometimes they get it right, sometimes they get it wrong. Stop harping on about him getting it wrong with Koeman. Bill got it wrong with Martinez, move on.

99% of players, managers and people involved in football are now what you might class as "mercenaries" and will go where they are offered the largest sum of cash.

Dixie Dean is not coming back to save us pal, sorry to break it to you.

OK, which part of it is tripe and explain why.

If you want to like.

Not trying to argue with you, just having a debate, it's only the internet mate and we are all blues ;)

We wanted Silva, couldn't get him, Mosh has put Sam in to steady the ship then we move on again, I fail to see how it can be portrayed as anything else.

Allardyce and Silva's contracts also end together, so if Silva has done a good job and we want him it would make it easier, the only downside is that if Silva does do a good job there will be a battle for him.

..good point, Matey. I thought Moshiri might be able to diplomatically move Kenwright out with an honorary role that carries a fancy title but no workload (Life President). It seems Bill wants to keep a hand on the tiller. I think there’s lots of ego with these blokes, Kenwright is probably better known for his link with Everton than the theatre.

Its de va ju is my main point we sold our top goalscorer no replacement in line sacked our manager no replacement in line 5 weeks for unsworth to do a very difficult job - then we go back to a manager we rejected from day one at now probably a bigger price ?
I still like to give him a chance though - the jury's still out!
