SA on winning over fans: "Everyone has to win over the fans. Whatever perception people have about me I can do nothing about."

His face at this point said it all, he literally doesn't give two toss what we think about him, his coaching team or our brand of football.
I thought he was quite humble about the fact that he's getting called all sorts of names and fans saying his football is crap etc. He acknowledged the fans and said that he'll win them over by winning games and later on he said I want to play a winning brand of football at Everton. That's fine by me, he's acknowledged the expectations and intends to get us up the table. Actions speak louder than words though but regarding what he said I don't think he said a thing wrong.

Thought it was a good first presser.

First on the recruitment list is a no nonsense, bit a of snide leader who can give this team some balls.

Second on the list a target man type striker who can net 20+ goals a season.

Third on the list a decent left back with a good engine who can defend and attack.

Over to you BFS.

I think we may see a new Sam Allardyce, I'm not sure whether this is a good thing or not

..he was actually quite innovative bringing analytics and science into the game many years ago. I think he’ll have a tried and tested process in place, which is why he wants specific people around him. Like many senior managers in every industry, you’re only as good as the people who work for you.

I agree that he might just enjoy this Indian Summer of his career. I just hope we do as well.

I felt my soul had a shower there looking at that presser. Just saying what's on his mind. Amazing. Like a real person.

It was like our previous two managers where speaking a different language.

I think he is always looking for an edge, which is something we could really do with at this moment in time!

he called us 'They' and 'Them'...

however, I'm giving him a chance and hope that 'Ranieri-style' he'll find a golden end to his career.

Why so stupidly optimistic?
Well, cos it's everton isnt it?
