He and his mates Shakespeare and Lee just need to stand aside in training and in the team talk and go the ale house for a pint and leave these players to themselves. They'll play to feet and get enough chances to win games if that happens.

Managed well tonight. The ball spent more time on grass than in the stars. Thought the subs were ace. Only change I would make next game is Holgate in for Jagielka.

..that’s my view, Chris. It might have been the ‘bounce’, it might have been luck but that run from the Southampton game moved us from bottom 3 to 9th. I honestly don’t think any other manager could have got a better return. I fully understand it hasn’t been pretty but it was very much needed.
