Absolutely detest the man, I hated him before he joined (at least am consistent) and the absolute bile thats come out of his mouth since he joined has just gotten worse...

THIS.. what the hell is this comment

“No,” Allardyce said. “We’ve got £20 million Theo Walcott and £30 million Yannick Bolasie and if you’d put him [Lookman] out there he wouldn’t have done any better than the rest because the whole team played crap.”

£30m of a player who has been out for a year and never really done much, would have been nice option to rotate with a young lad who has actually looked exciting in the bit parts he has played.

I am proper done with the man, and the club can kiss my arse until they get rid of him - I said it at the time its like the death button was pressed, well EFC with Allardyce has sucked all enjoyment out of the game for me, roll on being excited about football again.

No idea if this is true or not but the lad is a good poster

One other player asked to go on loan earlier in the window and was denied. The subject came up in front of other players, with Allardyce saying he could go permanent but not on loan, the player said something along the lines of 'No, I'll be here for preseason, you wont'

That bit particularly disgusted me. Some way to show faith in a player who has just lit up the Bundesliga in his first ever performance, and specifically after Allardyce, his so-called manager, basically wrote him off by saying it's too big a challenge for him. He should have been saying that because he hasn't been playing for us it's a great opportunity to get some minutes and experience under his belt.

Then to, for some reason, bring up the players' prices to justify why he wouldn't have been a better option, completely glossing over the fact that Bolasie is not a professional footballer, is sickening.

NEA about the 40 point guff people are saying we need before we should sack him, sack him now.

We wait until the seasons end there's a chance the media and BFS manage to spin this 40 point survival act into some kind of worthy achievement which keeps him in the job another season, or even worse gets him a longer contract.

Hire this lid from PSV to become a proper DOF (or any other genuinely proven one), get in Fonseca from Shaktar (even if he won't join till their CL campaign is finished - who cares if it gets you the right manager), let them spend the next 10-12 games figuring out whose staying whose leaving and who needs to be taken out back and shot, the 'new manager' bounce alone would get us above the safety line anyway.

Good point that. Limping to 40 points with this squad isn't an achievement it's an embarrassment and shouldn't be tolerated.

He clearly wrote the Arsenal game off at Finch Farm which is his usual way of prioritising but it places an enormous amount of pressure on the team to deliver against Palace. Said it before, I can't stand him but never thought he was stupid but we've never really recovered from that spell over Christmas against WBA and Bournemouth. The use of the squad and the tactics were really poor.

He has some big decisions to make as he has players who want out and players who aren't performing who he constantly picks. He's well out of his comfort zone with EFC and it shows big time.

“When you make a few changes, give them a system to play, and show them how a team (Swansea) on Tuesday night had played so well against them and if you implement that you might have a chance of getting a result against them, it can only work if your team plays at its best.

This quote irked me. Spend all the money we have and only if we perform at our max we'll have a chance of a result against Arsenal. Arsenal?! They're not even that good anymore.

Regardless of money the squad is still THAT bad.

And Arsenal are still better than we are. And we haven't beaten them at home since Moses was a kid.

Yes but for the money spent (amount) and watching Swansea beat them we shouldn't have to play at our maximum just for a chance at a result.

2 things...first I will back him in his role in keeping us up and if he gets us a top 9 finish then he will have done a decent enough job in my opinion. But I completely agree with your frustrations with his Lookman comments. He is wrong over it, and won't accept that he's wrong. Second though, I don't know how those who dislike/hate Allardyce can say that it's him whose sucked the enjoyment out of it. Were you enjoying the hammerings we took off United, Spurs, Atalanta, Lyon and Southampton etc under Koeman and Unsworth?

Koeman had us 18th, and effectively sent us out of Europe, before Unsworth put the final nail in the coffin with the Lyon and Atalanta results. Allardyce has improved our position since he took over from Unsworth.

I personally have found the whole season awful, but even more so when the other 2 were in charge as we'd get beaten off rubbish, whereas the only side that have beaten us under Allardyce where we'd expect to at least not lose is Bournemouth.

Just sack him right now, we could tell the players to sort themselves out for the rest of the season, and play how they want we’d still get enough points to be safe and I dare say our performances would improve

I've stayed away since Saturday.

He has to go at season's end.

I'd realistically say he could go as soon as we got 40 points but that won't happen.

It's sickening, but give him his pay-off and get rid. Get rid of Walsh too while we're at it. And clear out the entire club.

Moshiri has put his money where his mouth is but ultimately the decision-making from him and - mainly - the 'football people' that he has employed around him and to support him has been outright abysmal.

Allardyce put the nail in his own coffin with that team selection, and then his post-match comments.

There'd be genuine outrage from the fans if he wasn't binned off at the first opportunity come season's end.

In the meantime, we get the new manager sorted. Tell them they have the rest of the season to keep a close eye on us and assess where they believe the improvements are needed. It's not hard, there's a big enough list.

The window is open June 9th to August 9th. Half of that is taken up by the World Cup.
