@ToffeeTim called this current situation around the Festive Season.

We will get ourselves clear of the dead men and we will forget that we were once down there as we eye the top end of the Wee 14 table.

Then he would revert to super negative type and after a protracted poor spell a crisis would develop round about March time.....at which point the Samuel Allardyce escape act would be dusted down and his chums in t’ media would sing his praises for “saving” yet another team.

For this reason I am now reasonably confident we will win come Saturday innit.

Well done, Tim ;)

Except we're not winning on Saturday

It's a myth. He doesn't improve defenders whatsoever. He simply throws a line of deep lying midfielders a few metres ahead of them for a spell.

One thing you can't criticise Moyes for is that he coached defenders well. We've watched them improve in front of our eyes. This fella? Pick a defender from his last 4 jobs who has improved?

Moyes did coach defenders well
I still wish there was a way that 2013 combination of Moyes solid team and Martinez’s new energy could be bottled
