Proper back-tracked here didn't he!

"When the fans see the players not playing to the levels they come to expect they’re going to show their disapproval. We need to give them more to shout about, starting with this weekend. Every club’s fans have a lot of passion. The history of Everton is far greater than Newcastle or West Ham but every fan has passion.

Everton is completely different from them clubs but it was just a comparison. The ambition of Everton is greater but if you don’t entertain or play as well as they expect the fans show their disapproval. I have to reverse that and get everyone behind us. The fans have been fantastic since I’ve been here and helped the team to get a result. "

Haha, he basically said last week what the media thinks about us. Don’t think he liked the back lash. He knows his job will be gone so trying to get the fans back on side

I’m guessing he watched MNF were carragher echoed exactly what us fans think. Backtracking at its finest right there!

He is not used to expectations being more than a 17th place finish.

He is still avoiding all responsibility, I notice - blaming "the players" for not playing up to the standard.. His feeble back-tracking shows that even the most thick-skinned manager is affected when the whole fanbase is against you. I think most of us know what the content of his "confidential" talks with Moshiri will be about and that is the size of his compo when he gets sacked.
He is feeling the heat but we fans have barely started yet: tick tock...

Funny how much far a bit of criticism on Sky Sports goes with Sam isn't it?

He's not one bit arsed what the supporters think. He laughed at the suggestion against Burnley.

He is arsed about what the sports press think though because that's where he's going in summer.

Which is why our local rag should be echoing the fans thoughts more often and going hard on him like they done for Woy.

So he’s had talks with moshiri? Hope it’s to say your sacked in may

To be fair I don't think if the Echo splashed "Allardyce Out" on the back page every day from now until the end of the season he'd be arsed.

Sky Sports though... he wants to be welcomed back into the cushy studio appearances (MNF, MOTD, Talksport etc) once he's gone from here though. He knows being sacked damages his brand so he wants to leave on his own terms.
