He's done all right with a Jan window, minimal outlay and our current bunch of wasters.

how do some of you not understand that the league was absolutely awful this season? we probably would have finished 15th had the clubs outside of the top 6 not been horrendous. 19th in shots, 19th in scoring chances, 17th in possession: these are all numbers under sam. How are those "Alright"? We got melted by any team with even an ounce of quality.
 
Sam kept us up (debatable how much trouble we were actually in) but what he proved was he couldn't progress us any further, the opportunity was there for 6th and he chose not to take it, or even try to. That suggests to me that he can't get any higher than the 8th we achieved. The league this year was absolute rubbish the opportunity was there for the taking, and that's why he has to go.

He's here until end of next season mate - he's got a connie. Can see him being entrusted to "drain the swamp" in the summer and get us fired up for a big domestic season in 2018/19.
 
What some seem to be forgetting is that most of the difficult fixtures were out the way before he arrived. We had an absolutely horrendous start. Just have a glance at the fixture list from when he took over, really not the most difficult. Indeed we went on a good run as soon as he took over when we had a favourable run of fixtures. Scraping 1 nil wins against the dross in this league certainly doesn’t pull the wool over my eyes.
