Same bunch of players to have failed for England before

Name, names!!

I know im always harsh on Welbeck, hes not totally bad and sometimes he looks decent, but I cant get the image of him playing against us in the Semi a few Years ago out my head, its stuck there and for that reason I will never rate him.

So I assume hes 1, whos the other?

Welbeck is one and I quite like Walcott, to my shame.

Ive never had a problem with Gerrard playing for England, at 1 point, a few Years ago, he was, for me, the most complete and best Midfielder in the World.

It hurts to say it but yeah there was a time when he was one of the best midfielders in the world (and so was Lampard btw) but right now, he doesn't deserve to be in the starting eleven and he wouldn't even if he wasn't the massive arsehole he clearly is.

I also had a soft spot for Walcott, I always thought he would "make it", but sadly hes just really, really bad.

He has the talent in his feet, just lacks it in his head.

When he's good, he's good though. He's inconsistent but I think he's worth including just on the off chance he'll turn it on.

Three out of the four man defense from 2010 will probably start but the goalkeepers changed and the midfield and attack will be almost entirely different at least until Rooney's back, though as you say injuries have played a part in that.

Don't get me wrong I wish Hodgson would drop Terry and Gerrard too, but it annoys me how what change of personal he has done is being completely discounted.

He's not exactly been bold or brave though, has he? He's stuck in a load of gash Liverpool players who've been terrible this year.

That said there's not TOO much to choose from at the moment.

Well yeah, it's a really weak squad. But the problem isn't that he hasn't changed enough players, the problem is the replacements he's picked are all gash. (Though again injuries have played a part in that)

If people are going to take shots at him, they might as well do it for the right reason.

There a lot of problems with England obviously.

This squad just shows the problems with English football if you ask me.

Who (and you can't pick injured players like Kyle Walker), would you have picked ahead of those that were? Grant Holt? Give me strength.

Another problem I see is that we need more players playing abroad. It can only help the national team, but of course the money is here so this won't happen.

Sad times.

We'll probably win this though.

I'm waiting and watching before I judge too much.

England fans and the English media are a bigger threat to the team than any of the 15 other countries in the competition.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Players don't go abroad because if they do they're out of contention for England.

See Scott Carson, who's playing in a top European League and is behind Chesterfield town's goalie in the England ranks. Or Gary Hooper or Scott Sutter or Michael Mancienne.

One of the main problems with England is that they're not as good at football as everyone thinks.

Mancienne is GASH though.

I don't think everyone, or anyone, thinks they're that good anymore mate.

That's why some people are saying it might be their year... because for once they don't think it will be their year. Or something.

Makes sense.
