Eto'o was anonymous today except when he was losing possession. Barkley and Naisy are both in better form for me. Eto'o might be best used as an impact sub for now.

How many times we have to say this. Why the **** he is playing AM which he has been playing crap under this role. Why?

Great player well suited for throwing on in the last twenty minutes or so. His start was so surprisingly good that Martinez is now giving him far too much time on the pitch

Still absolutely fuming at him putting the ball out of play at 1-0 when he was in Newcastles box!! He could of turned and shot, yet he put the ball out of play. Our form doesn't need players being nice. Need players to be utter [Poor language removed] and doing anything it takes to win.

I might be sticking my head above the parapet here, but I thought Eto'o looked class for the first half today with his touch, hold up play, linking with Kone etc ....but then largely disappeared from the game the longer it went on.

Spot on that mate and I expected so much more from a winner. He's been stuck around too many [Poor language removed] houses it seems and has become too nice. That was from a goalscoring position.

Easily mate. He genuinely could of scored. The ref was happy to play on, but nah. He sticks it out of play. Two mins later Cisse elbows Coleman, and two mins after that, they equalise. That moment was genuinely a game changer.

I don't see it with him starting games at the moment mate. He adds very little. I think Martinez is keeping him on hoping for a moment of magic but he's offering absolutely nothing.

I don't like the role/position he is being asked to play. Stick him up front or leave him on the bench. To be honest, when he signed for us, I wasn't expecting him to be starting many matches.
