Don't really understand this. Just leaves us with less options up front, as I doubt we'll sign anyone with Kone coming back. Maybe it was the plan for him to stay half a season all along, I dunno but it strikes me as odd. Better get a fee for him otherwise there's no point in letting him go.

it's definitely for off-field reasons isn't it? there would be no positives of agreeing this move based on how he's playing.

i'd like to see us go for benteke and ings in the summer, couple of bargains possibly.

...have to say, it's no big thing for me if Eto'o goes. Great to have him here but he's not part of long term plans. Only possible point is that he might not have gone had we been doing well.

*cough* Deulofeu *cough*
It is not even possible there is no way Barcelona will cancel his loan half way through the season to sell him to us when any money raised from his sale can't be used in the summer window and also gives their manager one number less should they lose him.

Think the more pertinent issue is that Luis Enrique is on very thin ice as Barca manger and it is doubtful he will last until next season. He is the main one who doesn't like Geri, guess they will wait until they have made a decision on Enrique's future with the club before they make any big ones on Deulofeu's.

Costing us a fortune and we're not playing him in his best position anyway. Roberto feels he's got enough cover in the striker position so no problem with letting him go, suits both parties.

We're allowing him to go because it saves on wages, Kone is back and Martinez realizes Naismith, Eto'o and Barkley doesn't work making him 3rd choice in both positions plus he wants to go.

It's the right decision but it makes no difference to our transfer plans at all but it might give us a bit more money for the summer.
