i do agree with what you and goat are saying, i'm just worried that if lukaku gets injured we're left with only kone. i won't count mcaleney because he just isn't good enough and naismith is an attacking mid not a striker.

Eto'o was played left wing, Ronaldo can play left wing, so in order to make it fair, Ronaldo would have to miss a game where he scored a hatrick and then play RB, pretty sure that would affect his goal scoring.

That's the gamble Martinez is taking, but getting a winger or more creative midfielder should change our dynamic. It's been proven that Eto'o can't do that.

Even better when you break down his goals per minute ratio. A goal every 144 minutes in the prem last year, with 5 assists too. Will be the best 2nd choice striker we've had in... well, possibly ever?

I think he would improve us, not as a starter every week, but having another out and out winger in the squad will be a big plus, much like the role gerry did last season, and atsu was probably supposed to do
