That game alone gave him 33% of his total, it's not unreasonable to consider what his record woould be like if he hadn't played in that game or not scored in it consider his total goals scored is low already for a main striker in a top team that creates numerous chances in every game.

You see I agree with this point, to a degree and personally think thats the plan.

Considering we played 1 of the best strikers in world football on the wing, it makes sense that we replace him with a winger.

Eto'o was played left wing, Ronaldo can play left wing, so in order to make it fair, Ronaldo would have to miss a game where he scored a hatrick and then play RB, pretty sure that would affect his goal scoring.
