Wonder if he would of stayed if he could have signed for another club? Going to be interesting to see how Mihajlovic and Eto'o work together over the next few weeks.

Samuel Eto'o will stay at Sampdoria despite a reported training dispute with boss Sinisa Mihajlovic. The Serb coach accused Eto'o of showing a "serious lack of respect" by missing an extra training session on Monday.

But a source close to the striker, who joined Sampdoria from Everton last Tuesday, told BBC Sport: "The incident was nothing to report." The source also dismissed claims in Italy that Eto'o, 33, was threatening to leave the Serie A club.
"He can't leave anyway, because he has played for two clubs this season, and you can't play for more than two in a season," he said.

I had a feeling that Eto'o may have been a divisive figure in our dressing room, especially when he wasn't playing! Pleased to be rid

Surprised the RS media aren't crediting Brendas astuteness in passing up the opportunity to sign such a divisive character, particularly as it was in favour of a striker with a first class work ethic who's fitted right in....

er, hang on......

I'm getting confused. We hate him now? And when did we start pretending he was a divisive character?
No don't hate him, he is still a talented footballer who can be extremely charming to fans and helpful to teammates under the right circumstances.

But he has always had a reputation of being trouble in the dressing room when not happy, both for his clubs and national team. Flouncing out of training in a huff over having to do an extra session less than a week after signing does not suggest a player who is easy to manage. When things are going well you may have the time and energy to deal with such a high maintenance character but we haven't got that luxury anymore.

So as glad as I was to see him sign (and I still think he was a good player to have for 5 months) I'm glad he has gone.

Wasnt Mihajlovic linked to these guys?
