Sandro wasn't deemed good enough to that under 3 managers and who has played at a higher level than DCL.

Sandro could do whatever, doesnt make DCL better. And im not a DCL hater, I though he did fairly well last season, but claiming he carried anything is hyperbole if i ever saw it.

He maybe a clown but he is our clown. He will provide many hours of amusement of missing even the most straightforward of chances.

As a winger he is rather useless since he never beats his man nor gets himself in dangerous positions in the box.

I stlll sense that he'll make the cut and stay with us this season because he is a decent passer, mover and presser and more adept at executing Silva's tactical instructions than most of the current squad members. Stop-gap/water carrier alternative.

Hopefully not a starter in more than a few games though. Any opposing manager with half a tactical brain cell will disarm us by shutting down the opposing flank and encouraging the forward pass to Sandro as often as possible.

For his wages, by all accounts, we seem to get very little in return though.

He certainly tries hard enough and for me that is a good starting point, I would like to see him get a chance playing more centrally I think that he is being used too wide and he is not a winger.
You would have to think that Silva sees something in him.
I would say that he is trying to rebuild his confidence after last season.
