I'd rather him go somewhere other than Real Sociedad so he can play consistently as a CF. He isn't going to displace Willian Jose as their starting CF and I don't think a season of coming off the bench would be of benefit either. Obviously he's versatile and could rotate with Juamni as a RW but he needs nurturing as a CF in my opinion.

He's never a centre forward, he couldn't finish his dinner

Appears to be one fluke season where anything he hit went in, mostly speculative shots from what I remember
Yeah I seem to remember reading an article when he signed which basically said that season was a statistical miracle, there was no way you could expect somebody to score that many goals when shooting from where he was etc, but somehow he had.. Obviously you just sort of shrug it off at the time but in hindsight it was bang on.

Would be interested to read it if you find it

..to be fair he hits a ‘heavy ball’ and when you have that ability you can catch keepers out with the pace of a shot.

He hit some absolutely worldy free kicks at Malaga, you need some level of talent to what he did on a consistent basis during that season.

He seems to suffer from a positional crisis though. I think his best position is probably on the left side of a narrow front three, allowing him to be in consistent shooting range on his right foot. He's never displacing Richarlison in a million years though so not worth considering.

COPE are reporting that Real Sociedad are having difficulties convincing Sandro Ramirez (and Pablo Sarabia) to join to club. Portu of Girona is their alternative.

What’s his alternative? Not even making the bench at Everton and turning out for the under 23s at Southport? He needs to be playing competitive football, not just being happy picking up a wage.

I'm none the wiser. Another La Liga club? You might have answered your own question, though, in regards to picking up a wage.

Has shown absolutely nothing at Everton apart from being utterly poor (no other word for it) yet people still quote his time at Malaga to argue he is a good player.

I remember Jelavic having a similarly fluke season then being crap everywhere else he went.

Saw Andy Hunter slipped Sociedad’s interest at the bottom of his latest article so seems fairly legit.
