@Eggs bit of a shame about Sandro.

I'm getting ready to pop down to the old lady tonight and thought Sandro might have got the nod.

I could have done with a good laugh.

Strange how things turn out. I saw quite a few Malaga games and thought he would do really well here. I was made up with the signing - how wrong could I be. At least me and the PE teacher have something in common.

..I think we all thought we were getting a bargain, Jazzy, but last summers business has turned out to be a catastrophe. Sandro has simply looked nowhere good enough. Walsh was paid lots of money to get things right, but he spent a fortune on getting things wrong.
 
Wanted him to come good if anything just to save a bit of face following last summers shambles of a window. Bottom line is he isn’t good enough. On the plus side I can’t see him, Bolaise and Lookman all leaving this window.

Hope that’s true, not getting my hopes up though. Seems a very high price for someone to have to pay for him.

Tried to find anything saying obligation and it's all option :whip:.

A few sites did mention him already signing a four year deal worth a million euros a year if they exercise the option which would be strange to negotiate before activating the clause.

We can only hope the slower pace of serie a will make him look better but if he couldn't hack it in Greece I'd expect to see him back.
 
Our squad might be too thin soon ha this was a low risk signing but the lad has no confidence now which is a shame, all the bloody worrying that went on in this forum for months about signing him too.
 

Just a shame. The lad has bags of talented, but couldn’t meet the physicality of the English Game.

Ran his socks off, and potentially ruined by Ronald McDonald and his diabolical tactics.

Really hope if not here, that Sandro comes good elsewhere.
 
From last season’s signings, for some reason this is the most disappointing one to me. Really thought we were getting something special with this lad, but like most of our recruitment from last summer, he’s been a major disappointment. He wasn’t even in Koeman’s plans (and he was bought under his watch) unsworth, allardyce and now silva. That’s 4 managers who didn’t rate the player. Hope he makes a success of the move back to Spain and hopefully we can offload him permanently next summer.
