An albatross is an albatross. You get what you can and move on. Frankly, I'm glad that he just got what the market would bear and put it to bed, so he can focus on bigger problems. This isn't a problem worth paying serious attention to dickering over.

next year he's gone

.... So he would have earned what, around 20,000,000 pounds post-tax from signing a contract with Everton by the time it's finished, and in all likelihood he will end his Everton career having scored one goal in a 1-5 Europa League thrashing.

He must have the greatest agent / advisor that there has ever been in football. Mino Raiola, eat your heart out.

Sandro - 30m in fee and wages
Bolaise - 46m
Walcott - 44m
Tosun - 42m
Still better value than some others.

Now move on to Mirallas, Besic, McCarthy, Bolasie, Niasse, Tosun and Stekelenberg, please. No need at all for any of them in our squad.

Forfeited his career for a massive pay day. A lot of players would have preferred to be a millionaire and play at the highest level possible, but he took the route of being a mega multi millionaire and ending up at a much worse team than the one who sold him to Everton. Nobody thinks he's good enough to throw a contract at him and he'll end up being released by Everton in 2 years time.

Can't blame him one bit, mind you, and I won't say a bad word about him. 100% on Everton, this.

Loaning him out and saving a small amount of wages and a little loan fee is probably the best we’re ever going to get for him, unless he rips La Liga up next season.

I wish Real Madrid had of beat us to his signing, when we we all losing our heads that they were interestedlol
