Just why would you set a buyout clause so low?

Asking for trouble really.

For smaller sides it gives them a realistic chance to sign good players, by giving them an escape clause if they play well for 12-18 months then they'll move on because A) they've played to their potential or B) a bigger side has seen enough to take a punt.

When it works out for both sides is when good player fires them up the table after signing/being released from bigger club. Instead of finishing 14th, they finish 7th, all parties are happy and good player gets to use the smaller as a stepping stone back to the bigger clubs.

Barcelona's Luis Suárez reminds Malaga's Sandro who fed him

Suárez not happy with Sandro

Sandro Ramírez was Málaga's best player in their two goal win over title-chasing Barcelona, which has made things more complicated for Luis Enrique's side. But as well as the defeat, and Neymar's sending off which grabbed the immediate headlines, another incident has been picked up by Spanish programme, El Chiringuito.

One of Barça's usual protagonists, Luis Suárez, was captured whispering in the Málaga player's ear as they left the field at half-time. And according to El Chiringuito he said to the former Barcelona player, "Don't forget the hand that fed you".

The response from Sandro, who was freed up last summer to leave the Catalan club, was apparently quick and to the point: "Málaga now feeds me," he told the Uruguayan.

I've studied that footage of the exchange closely. What first appeared to be"Malaga now feeds me" was actually. "Kopites are gobshites"!
