Everton's £5.2m signing of Sandro Ramirez won't now be officially confirmed until after Spain's U-21 European Championships campaign ends, according to reports.
The Malaga striker is reportedly reluctant for any distraction from his national team's efforts in Poland, where his goals have already helped them to the semi-final stage as winners of Group B.
On Thursday
the ECHO reported that Sandro's transfer had been completed and was subject only to an announcement.
Newspaper Diario Sur also say that the deal is now a formality, and Malaga want to replace him by signing Borja Baston from Swansea City.
Diario also claim that Sandro had originally wanted to join Atletico Madrid before the ramifications of their transfer ban made him change his mind.
If the reports in Spain are correct, Everton may not be able to unveil Sandro in a Blue shirt until next Friday or the weekend. The European Championship u-21 final is in Krakow next Friday evening.
Other media in Spain have reported that the ex Barcelona forward, who scored 14 goals in La Liga last term, has signed a four-year-deal with the Toffees -
but with a break clause after one season .
Radio station OndaCeroMalaga have claimed that the player, and his agent Gines Carvajal, wanted to repeat the clause in his deal at Malaga which enabled the Toffees to move for him.
They tweeted: 'Sandro Ramirez sign 4 seasons with the
@everton with the option to leave after the first year to another club'.
