Koeman played 3 at the back for a good while last term. Pep has done it throughout his career. Klopp at times last season did.

It's probably 'in vogue' now only because of Conte's success, but even he didn't start out with the plan to use the 3-4-3 he did with Italy/Juve initially. Good managers can adapt to any system/formation as required.

I think the first major signing (if it happens) could be the catalyst but we need move fast otherwise other clubs will swoop in and knick player from under our noses.
