Well... Spain as a team are pretty horrendous. Spain individually are brilliant. Every time Sandro was begging for that silky through ball to be hit, Geri or one of the other midfielders would either neglect him or botch the pass. Sandro should have checked back a little more which is my main criticism of him in this tournament, but he did well with limited touches. He was playing for the counter attack while his teammates were playing with the ball. I'm still impressed with the talent Spain fielded in this tournament (Ceballos, Saul, Arsensio, etc.), but I was really disappointed with them as a whole. Germany are a well-oiled machine and deserved to win the tournament. They were by far the better side in the game.

The Spanish football philosophy is to be admired but at the same time you wonder if the players have common sense drilled out of them at an early age. I only caught the last 10 mins of regulation time and Spain did nothing but fanny around with the ball between the centre halves and goalkeeper and only when it got to added time launched more direct goals, truly baffling. Anyway glad that is over, get Sandro through the door please!

Spain are good, but sometimes you have to work together and create something. When your striker is the least selfish player on the team, you have BIG problems.
