Let's not kid ourselves. All teams have players who exaggerate touches by the opposition. Piennaar and Arteta used to do it all the time for free kicks when they had their backs to the player. Everyone does it. We need to get what we can just like everyone else.

Sharpey won so many free kicks by backing his behind into centre halves then doing that fake jump so they went over him .

As things stand, I'm pinning my hopes for the season on this lad being the real deal.

The last new signing I said that about?

Bilyaletdinov

No, Sandro is going to be the bargain of the summer (Everton's).

I have high hopes. He's from a credible league and he's going to be busting a gut to make Everton his stepping stone to elsewhere.

Seen enough of this feller already to think he'll be a sensation here. Never a line leading forward though. We need someone else in for that.

Agreed. And I'm still all up for Giroud - him up there, with Sandro buzzing around him making little darting runs, Klaasen playing sexy little one touch passes all over the place, all sorts of Ev happening all over the pitch.

It's a happy place

Looks keen and hungry. Perhaps needs a few sessions with Dunc though to show him what to expect from defenders, and what he can dish out in English Football.

Passer in midfield on top of that and it's not looking too bad up top actually. Seri would be ace, Davies in a pinch. I'd save Gana for games where we just need to be disruptive.

Can't disagree with any of that, but allied to his ability he works really hard for the team's cause, pressing the opposition and leading from the front. Furthermore he can play anywhere across the front free, which gives us options we haven't had previously. Now let's get that creative midfielder who can utilise the impressive runs he makes off the ball.

Yeah, I'm not sure why you'd infer that I don't rate him.

My only worry is how him, Rooney and Sigurdsson are going to work as a frontline. Lukaku leaving was an opportunity go finally build a balanced attack, but I'm not sure how that's going to be possible now.

I'm not. I'm saying your not wrong for pinning hopes on him.

Having seen him last night playing with a massive smile on his face and coming out and saying how welcome we have made him feel is refreshing. I think he has been touched by Everton so hopefully he becomes as big a hero as Tim Cahill was
