Might be a bit this ref. He's an MLS and CONCACAF guy. He's okay, but he definitely likes himself quite a bit. They are useless at these var checks, so feckin slow
Thought it was Barco. Not bad for an MLS player. Was that him with free kick for 2nd if it was delivery was class !!!
Barco is actually pretty good. Atlanta paid a good chunk of change to bring him in. He was a regular for his club in Argentina at only 18.Thought it was Barco. Not bad for an MLS player.
Oh he's really good. Just like Almiron, he's going to make that club a ton of money. Granted Atlanta turned that around and spent $15M on Pity Martinez and then hired Frank DeBoer who has been awful. But go figure.Barco is actually pretty good. Atlanta paid a good chunk of change to bring him in. He was a regular for his club in Argentina at only 18.

What ticks me off more is that the US has a player like Alex Mendes who is just killing it and moved to Freiburg for nothing. Dear heavens Everton, get on that. Just makes no sense to me why we aren't taking advantage of the US market. There is a TON of talent there.
Basically saying what most sensible posters on here have been saying. Not yet ready for the first team. But if we're paying that sort of money for him he's too good for the U23s also.Tim Vickery has wrote a few words on Sosa - seems quite positive.
"He's playing at the moment for Argentina in the U20 World Cup in Poland. Sosa is a holding midfielder, better at picking a pass than the defensive side of his game.
"He's got a little bit of old-fashioned swagger. In the old days in Argentina, that No 5 was the boss of the team, the man who played the vital first pass out of defence.
"But the thing with him is it's so early. He's only played a handful of games for River Plate, when they've fielded an under-strength side, so if Everton buy him now, to go straight into the first team would be a massive step up.
"He's one for the long term and looks promising. He would worry me a little bit with his lack of pace for the defensive side of his duties, but he's certainly an interesting player with the ball at his feet."

would they get into a team challenging for the Dutch league.Basically saying what most sensible posters on here have been saying. Not yet ready for the first team. But if we're paying that sort of money for him he's too good for the U23s also.
If we buy him, I'd send him straight out on loan. Given we'd probably have issues with work permit I'd send him to PSV. I think we should take advantage of Brands relationship with them. I'd also send the likes of Dowell there next season too.
If the players are as good as we think they are, then yes they should do. If Sosa isn't good enough to get into a team challenging for the Dutch title we shouldn't be paying nearly £15m on him. Dowell is 22 in a few months. If he isn't good enough for that level now he has little chance of developing into a premier player, I actually think the Dutch league would suit him and he'd be a great success there.would they get into a team challenging for the Dutch league.
If Ajax lose 4 or 5 players then they have a rebuild and PSV are in prime position to win the league
