Saturday Kick Offs

I might be wrong but by my calculation there have only been 5 3PM kickoffs on Saturdays at GP in the entire calendar year and one of those was against Rotherham. Footie has changed a bit over the years.
Yeah, the decline of Saturday 3pm games makes it doubly difficult for any travelling fans bringing school aged kids.

Social services is an ongoing consideration for me.

The KO times have been all over the place since covid, You could kind of understand with fans not in grounds but it hasn't reverted since. Wonder if they've learned that you don't have to play almost everyday over Christmas? I doubt that though...

The more times we are televised the more cash our club gets. Lets face it, we need every penny with the farcical FFP. The more we are on tv the better. Don't see what this big whinging is about. After 29 years you'd think fans would be used to it by now.
I think the point is that for many match going fans the traditional 3pm is the preferred choice for a number of reasons, and not all sentimental.

I don't mind the 5pm kick off on a Saturday, but early kick offs or Sunday fixtures simply aren't the same experience.

Same old same old whines. Clubs, including our own, are more than happy to take the big bucks off the tv companies so of course they're going to call the shots.

If we are on tv a lot cryarsers are moaning about the lack off Saturday 3pms, yet if we aren't picked for tv fans are saying it's down to Sky and BT Sport hating us, lack of tv appearances is costing us cash, and they're biased towards the RS, the Mancs etc.

If Blues are expecting most of our games to be played at 3pm on a Saturday then prepare to be disappointed, those days ended in 1992.
Are the clubs happy? If they don't claim the sky cash, then fall behind. If any club refuses they shoot themselves in the foot and lose ground. This isn't "happy" to go along with sky buggering up the timetable, its coercion. That's a very big difference.

Having said all that - I'm sure the greedy gets running each club and the mercenaries they hire ARE glad to get the cash.

Its football that loses out as well as the fans that created it.

Well you can hope things suddenly go back to being pre-1992 and nearly all of our games being 3pm Saturday but suspect you'll be in for a long wait.
I appreciate that but it doesn't change the fact that the 3pm on Saturday is better for the majority of match-going fans. We all know why the fixtures are all over the place but it's still a pain in the arse.

I have no desire to fall out about something that is out of our control. I was merely commenting on a forum. I will 'cryarse' no more. ?

Without the tv cash our club in particular would be up the swanny so have to accept Sky and BT moving games around. It's a necessary evil.

I, generally, would prefer Saturday games myself too but have long since accepted the days of most of our matches being played then are gone mate.

Doesn't mean us arl arses can't moan about it, I remember the days when you could get 6 pints of bitter and a packet of bifters for a pound and still have change for chips on the way home.
