Saturday Kick Offs

Doesn't mean us arl arses can't moan about it, I remember the days when you could get 6 pints of bitter and a packet of bifters for a pound and still have change for chips on the way home.
Used to get five shillings pocket money when I was 14 and I could get the bus there and back from Edge Hill to Garston to go to the pictures with my schoolmates on Friday night, go to Goodison for the match next day - 3.00pm kick off - and buy the programme
and five Woodbines.

The more times we are televised the more cash our club gets. Lets face it, we need every penny with the farcical FFP. The more we are on tv the better. Don't see what this big whinging is about. After 29 years you'd think fans would be used to it by now.

The problem is that people who have bought season tickets often can't get to games because of the stupid KO times.

and the KO times are getting worse and worse, hence it being mentioned more recently. The 12 midday games are a right pain. And even moving the Sunday 4pm to 4.30pm causes problems for people trying to get the last train home on a Sunday,

Yeah, if you're watching from within the comfort of your living room or with your mates in a pub, than the kick off time doesn't really matter that much. If you're an actual match going fan, certain kick off times can be a real pain in the arse though.

It's not only in the UK, but all over Europe, the tv deals and packages are screwing over the match going fans. But hey, clubs need the money, I do get that. But it certainly doesn't make it easier following your team home and (for most) especially away.

At least it’s not like La Liga, can you imagine a 9.30pm kick off on a Sunday night!
Its slowly going that way though isn't it?
In all honestly an 8pm kick off on a Monday night is just as stupid. I know we've had these since the early days of Sky, but they were more tolerable when most of the other games were still Saturday 3pm.

Covid has been the excuse to give Sky carte blanche in programming. Tv money is more important than revenue...

Three o'clock on a Saturday afternoon was perfect for out-of-towners. Catch a train or a flight the day before (or on the same day), and you'd be back with plenty of time left to get ready to go back to work on Monday.

And you'd think we would have learnt our lesson. And maybe not spunked our TV money over the years on complete shabite
