Well the report is that Saudi Arabia put forward there bid 60 minutes after FIFA announced that they were accepting bids for it and what the criteria was. I would say FIFA and Saudi Arabia had been working together on this for awhile. It also seems the Asian federation also warned us off.

If you confirm interest you cannot bid again for something like 30 years.

No one wanted to get involved when they found our the human right / murderers wanted it.

Russia then Qatar getting it was the start of the corruption. England had the strongest bid for last years about 12 years ago.

It was pretty much in the bag (think Prince William and the FA said said this), then Qatar won it over us despite not even having the city to play it in never mind stadiums and football teams.

That was Sepp Blatter wasn't it? They replaced him to clean up corruption and FIFA is still the same.
