Mick, surely if a side gets enough points to qualify then they deserve it. Luck happens all over the place. For [Poor language removed]'s sake it was bad luck that we lost to Croatia, a dodgy bounce and a freaky looped header.

Swings and roundabouts, everyone has their share of luck good and bad. But bottom line is if we get enough points we qualify, end of [Poor language removed] story!
 
Why with al the swearing again- this is exactly what Ive said to you before.

If you read back through the posts you will realise that it was excatly what Danny said in reference to Brian Berwick.

What I am saying is that I dont think we deserved to qualify and perhaps with the group that Scotland had maybe they deserved it more than us.
 
Ok, first of all. You don't need to lecture me about swearing. Your not in charge of me.

Second of all, I think we do deserve to qualify. I thought we were unlucky in Croatia, and unlucky on a plastic pitch in Russia.
 
Oh my god- grow up, Ive asked you not to talk to me in a certain way and if you do we are going to fall out again. We can have a difference of opinion fine, but dont be a complete jockey when we do.

Fair enough you think we deserved to qualify, in the scheme of things I dont. As suits said we should be beating teams that we simply havent.
 

Not all the Welsh people hate the fact that England are back in with a chance of qualifying Ghost, i'd want to see any home nation qualify ahead of any other country.
Addmitedly (sp) i'm not going to cheer your team on if they qualify, but it wouldn't make me feel jealous or pissed off if you went on to win it.
Long story short ~ If Wales cant win it then i hope another home nation does, best of luck.

EDIT ~ For the record, i dont hate the England Football team or the English people in general, why the [Poor language removed] would i ?, i can hold personal grudges or dissagree with individuals from any country ( just like anybody else is capable of ) , but hate an entire nation!! No.

What do you mean grow up? Do you ask the fans to sing "What the heck do we care" for fear of offending you. I curse to illustrate emotion, if you don't like it just ignore it - I'm not getting violent or aggressive with it.

You make out like I'm the only person who uses expletives. I feel that your targetting me now.
 

what do we have here, both sides of the same coin. having ultimate faith in ones beliefs is perfectly fine, there is no point allowing such relatively trivial things to become even remotely personal. we can all take a deep breath and then try, try again.

(btw, i know im no angel - just thought id get that in before some smartypants does)

One thing that did stick out for me was did you see all the advertising hoardings around the ground were all for Italian brands. I would pissed off if I was the commercial team at Hampden- are there no Scottish companies that can afford a hoarding for Scotlands biggest game in years??!

Hi Mick ;)

I think there's a sort of International agreement; i've seen ever and ever that the advertising around the ground is for "the other country brands"... so, don't be too surprised to see all the hoardings in French in a England vs France match :)
 
Absolute daylight robbery, thats what this was. How was that a free kick?

There lots of parallels between Scotland and us, think back to the derby defeat and how the mind set of officials is biased towards media loved clubs.

Im a bit biased as Ive never liked England, never felt English because Im a scouser. My bird is Scottish as you know and although slightly paranoid (as we are with the [Poor language removed]) you can see her point. Whenever there is a successful athlete from Wales or Scotland they are referred to as British in the media. When they turn gash then they suddenly return back to being Welsh or Scottish.

Id much rather see Wales or Scotland win. Or best of them all: Everton win. Thats all Im arsed about.
 
And, worst of all, Israel beat Russia in the last minute, triggering a nasty bad mood situation to be tiptoed around (from having happily got the beer and nuts in, wearing tartan and singing Flower of Scotland).
 
I share your pain brother. I had to go home and change my Scotland away top before one more Italian said something, Id ran out of pasta/side swapping tirades and was about to unleash the fury.

She didnt appear til 12.30 that night after going on an all dayer. I tucked her in.
