Be interesting to hear @Mikey_Fitzgerald opinion on this topic. While in principle there isn't a huge amount between the teams I feel some Scots by only saying 2/3 Welsh players get into a joint team is bordering delusion.

I keep ratings on Football for compiling odds and based on my ratings, Wales are a better team than Scotland but there really is not by much in it. I have no doubt you could go through both teams and find you would select more Scots than Welsh players in a best of combination 11 but Wales have a clear and settled way of playing and are better organised than the Scots.Be interesting to hear @Mikey_Fitzgerald opinion on this topic. I had my Brother in law round yesterday for the two game he's a Rangers STH he has a conspiracy theory that Clarke doesn't play Rangers players after Rangers fans abused him when Killie beat them about 5 years ago and he was in charge of them.
He then sent me this.

The Scots were not at the races yesterday, the Irish were up for it and were hungrier fo a positive result.
Scottish defence were all over the place for the first two but that was some strike for the third.

They're two awful teams with a thimbleful of talent between them.
The Welsh are flying the flag for Celtic football in this period.

I've got to agree with him. How Ryan Jack doesn't get a game is unfathomable. We missed a player like him in midfield against Ukraine. It has to be personal.

As much as I hate to say it, I can't disagree with that.
Bit harsh, we've blooded a lot of young players in the last 2 years and have some really good talent in the U21's and U19's coming through. Hopefully we persevere with Stephen Kenny, I've a lot of faith in him as do the players.
We'll never be ranked in the top 10 ever again but we're starting to go in the right direction.
Tired looking teams in those games yesterday but for whatever reason the Republic were up for it and the manager has to take some credit for that.
Scotland looked like their holiday flights were jetting off after the game.
