That’s a decent get for Celtic if he can show his form from Huddersfield’s first PL season

That on top of signing Carter-Vickers, Maeda and Jota to permanent deals and bringing in Seigrist as back up to Hart and Bernabei as an extra defensive body

Compare that to Rangers who have lost Aribo and are close to losing Bassey and have brought in Tom Lawrence and John Souttar on frees and relative unknowns in Rabbi Matondo, Antonio Colak and Mallik Tillman

Still need another centre half, but cracking business so far

Wish we could also say the same about the toffees

Matundo, Colak and Lawrence all looked good against West 'Am last night.

Looking forward to the season starting (I appreciate the majority of teams have already played League Cup section football - and some managing to make a complete James Blunt of it!).

Should be a cracking season ahead both domestically and in Europe. ?

League Cup draw.
Rangers v Queen of the South, Partick v Arbroath, Motherwell v Inverness, Livingston v Dundee United, Dundee v Falkirk, Annan v Aberdeen, Hearts v Kilmarnock & Ross County v Celtic

Fair treck for the dandies.
I believe its the 1st meeting.
Tiny ground.

As an aside..why stirling never opened the terracing when the Dons visited was a massive revenue loss.

Absolutely, mate. You feeling confident of getting a few results in Europe? I saw that Motherwell got a poor result against Sligo Rovers, or whatever they're called.

Fairly confident of the season ahead but will be more so when we bring in another three bodies (defender, midfielder, attacker or a ‘10’). Ellis Simms will be a loss though.

Tynecastle will be absolutely jumping on those Euro nights; a far cry from the times we had to play at Murrayfield. You never know, but I’d certainly be confident if we were in the UEFA Conference groups.

Domestically, it’s about winning our league-within-a-league, staying ahead of the likes of Aberdeen, Hibs, Dundee Utd etc; and hopefully getting to another cup final…and showing up this time.

Hearts go into the new season with maximum season ticket backing from our fans (15,600 season tickets sold).. Ross County on Saturday is a home sell-out. Good times ahead I hope for the UK’s largest fan-owned club ?

League season has started for me already mate, and the “ Big Six” Highland League teams all started with a win on Saturday. A real nail bighter for me with Buckie Thistle going 1-0 down on 70 minutes at home, equalising two mins later and getting the winner in 90 +2 mins. It’s going to be a cracking season in what two journalists last week described as the “ the best league in the world” . Well , best steak pies certainly , but watching fitba with your mates on a balmy July Saturday standing six foot away from the action does take some beating ⚽ ?

Nice one. Good luck with the season ahead (except when you play us...), looking forward to seeing you in Europe. I agree that its looking good for Hearts at the moment, although, as you say, replacing Simms and Souter will be tricky. Thanks for Souter btw, I've got high hopes for him.
