All teams go through bad spells, nothing new there. Poor in the CL (to say the least) but only 2 points behind Celtic in the league. The other night was nothing short of a disastrous capitulation, but still plenty to play for at home.

It was in your parlance "a right gubbing". Let's not pretend that game was part of a bad spell. GVB should have been sacked too. You should bring in Beale from QPR. He knows rangers back to front.

The problem with Rangers is that they sold good players and not signed similar replacements.

I would go along with that assessment, you'll have noticed I used the term "disastrous capitulation". There's no way Gerrard should be coming back. Things started to go wrong when he was here. I'm not in favour of sacking managers so early in the season, but I'm not sure how that scoreline can be tolerated.
Beale might be an option next season, depending on how he does down there.
