Queens Park v Dundee is already turning into one of the maddest games of the season and there's only 55 mins gone. I recommend everyone to tune into BBC Scotland and watch it.
Best game of the season in the Championship, well the first half of the game, but Dundee deserved to win as we had been crap for the previous 2 months and lost our way and Owen Coyle didnt have a clue what to do and the poor form rolled onto the play offs. Quite glad they never went up as would be too soon for them and let them consolidate in the Championship first, as the aim when they turned pro was to get out of League 2 and consolidate in League 1. Well not a bad first season in the Championship and spending a few months top of the table and getting into the playoffs, but be a lot tougher next season since will have Dundee Utd, Dunfermline, Airdrie and most likely Ross County in the League, and as yet dont have a manager and not many players or a finished ground.

It’s probably passed most people by , but there’s a big row quietly brewing regarding the SFA’s proposal for a “ Conference League” as the 5th Tier of Scottish football, ie between Division 2 and the Highland/Lowland Leagues.

Basically they want to have 4 “B” teams from Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and one other club , probably Aberdeen ; 4 Lowland League teams and 2 Highland League teams. They believe this will aid the development of u21s , the big clubs would chuck in £100k per season and their teams would not be promoted or relegated.

The reaction at Highland League level has been overwhelmingly against , 90% in one poll I saw . Essentially, the Highland/Lowland Leagues would be relegated to tier 6 in the pyramid in one fell swoop. It’s a proposal that may just be voted through by the SFA member clubs , but would be disastrous for the Highland League teams and their supporters. Like most leagues , the top teams are also those best supported and have good away support , often providing much needed income to other clubs, losing two in one season would be a blow. It’s obviously a much lower level, but it’s akin to the European Super League proposal, a number of big clubs wanting to change the tradition of the game and thinking throwing out a bit of money will solve it 😡.
Tbh dont know much about this Conference League and whats happening but after Aberdeen had agreed to join and then when they pulled out and as soon as that was announced the same reporter had said Queen's Park were interested in joining becasue that is Marijn Beuker's (QP director of football) philosophy of bringing the younger players through ready for the first team and would be a good idea to join, but its all rubbish as QP have no interest in joining it which theyve now stated after the report, which quite glad at as are most of the support since they were never informed or asked about it for their opinions and the majority against it.

I don’t think Aberdeen ever agreed to join the proposed Conference League, it was just assumed by the Press that they’d be the fourth SPL club to field a Colts team. One reason they opted out was the potential damage to the Highland League, so far every Highland League club has come out against it. Hopefully the concept withers and dies.

The Harry's hitting a fantastic run off form, at the unbelievable right time.
A long season, continuing till today.
Nothing against the staggies, but if they drop ,it might be of small comfort to the caley fans, who performed better than their team ,yesterday....tad unfair, I guess, against a fantastic Tim eleven.
