I don't see how it's only a "meaningful" title race if Rangers are involved . Surely one with the other teams would be just as meaningful?

I think as much as anything it means if Kilmarnock win theyre a point behind the these two and an with an Aberdeen win it’s 3 points separating the top four . Hard to say that’s not a potential title race given its about to be new year

Sectarian ones I bet.

...well, I never thought i’d hear Rule Britannia sang at a football match. Yep, it was unashamably partisan but I dare say the same happens at Celtic with the new ticket arrangements.

We had players lounge tickets but actually sat with rank and file supporters to watch the game so had the best of both worlds. There’s lots of songs that I simply couldn’t pick up every word of but the theme is constant. Atmosphere was bouncing, though, and I actually enjoyed the experience.

I was saying to one of the Rangers backroom staff on Friday that Celtic might be a bit complacent and he said the plan was to press them high up the pitch and it worked a treat. Rangers very much deserved to win.

Rangers dominated that game today as much as Celtic dominated the one at Parkhead earlier in the season.

Rangers will have to spend a lot to win the title though. Celtic have a better squad and it'll tell.

..yep, Celtic have a bit more quality but Rangers got after them and made them unsettled. Celtic couldn’t compete at the same level. Brown was pedestrian and got overrun.

You could see the likes of Niasse making a mark in that league along with the likes of Browning and Holgate. Best performance was from Ross McCrorie, I thought he was terrific for Rangers.

Brown was terrible.

But Rangers are going to need more than Morelos...who is a red card waiting to happen every game, btw. And I dont see Gerrard being backed. His comments post match about Dave King backing him were terse.

Celtic could do without the distraction of the EL, but I just dont see Rangers having enough this season. It's one thing getting up for the OF game, another to go out and do it home and away consistently. Celtic haver had a terrible foirst half of the season and are top with a game in hand. I dont see them having a poorer second half of the season.

...the Gerrard situation is interesting. The Players Lounge was buzzing but when his interview came on telly the place went deadly quiet listening to what he said and then erupted when he finished. At the end he didn’t immediately run on the pitch or go to either end, it was a few minutes before he went a few yards beyond the touchline and got a great reception.

The interview on Rangers TV had him saying he’s been talking to the owner about new players.

I appreciate the standard of the league isn’t great but Ross McCrorie is a young player i’ll be keeping an eye on. He wasn’t at all showy but he wasn’t scared of performing in a game like that and he stood out for me.

Morelos is a good player but petulant and a loose cannon, if we got the right money i would let him go
