Morton 1 v 0 Ross County (league leaders)

OOFT!!! A bit like Saturday, we didn't really play very well, but defended like bears. Played better second half tho', but need to buy (beg loans of) a couple of players in the window. As I said on Saturday, will take points over performance any day.

Big result that , thought that’d be Ross county . Big big win

Efe Ambrose leaving for free is a big blow for Hibs. Easily my favourite player from their current squad.
He came to Hibs largely because of Neil Lennon but it was always going to be for a short time. Someone of his age wants a last big pay deal. Rumour has it he's Cardiff-bound so good luck to him.
Hopefully, Lennon's charisma and experience can attract another class player.
It needs to be stressed though that south of Celtic every team in Scotland including Rangers is a selling club.

May have done ok at Hibs GT but will be left wanting big time in the Premiership if that is indeed where he's going, always has a major mistake in him on big occasions.
As you said can't blame him for wanting a last decent payday but sometimes it's horses for courses and he and Hibs have been a good fit.

This ^^^. Gave me one of my best Morton memories in recent years when he gave away a stupid penalty in our league cup tie against Celtic, which led to us winning 1-0. We were awful that season, got relegated and actually lost 10-2 to Hamilton on the last day of the season. However, beating a Celtic team who started with 10 full international players and brought another 3 on as subs was sweeeet!!! £75 million Van Dijk was one of their CB's that night along side Efe Ambrose and ironically, Ambrose won the Morton fans Player of the Year that season...he didn't accept the trophy. lollol

I'd agree about Efe's chances in the prem. He's actually not very quick at the back and he'll find the physical side a step-up. He's made some gaffes in his time but no defender is perfect.
I reckon he's best going forward through the middle but I imagine he's billed as a defender for transfer purposes. Good luck to him.
