Ah, poor Debbie Ramsey from Derry, who said everyone in her group has been warned against going to the Levante Beach Boulevard known as 'the Strip' or wearing their Northern Ireland football tops. I wonder who gave Debbie this advise? Was it the police? A hotel rep perchance? Maybe it was a local taxi driver? Or maybe it's been completely made up?

Still, it's nice to see Debbie the wife of a DUP Councillor, and former DUP election agent herself, take a wider interest in things happening outside their area. I wonder if Gregory Campbell gave Debbie, and her husband, advice on how to plant anti-Celtic stories in a sympathetic newspaper?

Celtic fans in rampage! :dodgy:

David with Britain's Got The Pop factor star Geraldine McQueen. Oh wait, it's the lovely Debbie!

I'm sure you'll all understand if I treat their claims with a great deal of caution?

lollol brilliant.

Not a good look for the travelling Celtic fans that

A nice gesture would be for them to club together and pay for the damages

Another photo of the lovely Debbie, with her husband David, on the day he announced he was standing for election as councillor to the Derry City and Strabane District Council.

This bit gives it away:

"It is ridiculous that we have to tell the children not to wear their football tops on holiday and that we can't go to the Northern Ireland supporters bar in case these Celtic fans are offended."

"In case these Celtic fans are offended ?" lollollol

Must remember not to wear my Everton top if I ever (God forbid) go into the Sandon, in case Liverpool fans are offended.

lol:pint2:

It's bad enough that people like her are so full of hate, but the truth seems to be of little interest to her. Invent a story, get a sympathetic newspaper to print it, and all of a sudden people are being led to believe that girls aged between 18 and 20 have been warned not to go on the strip. Now here we have a situation where she's alleging young woman have been warned they can't go to a certain part of town due to fears for their safety. You have to wonder what the police are doing about it, when only old Nancy Drew from Derry seems to be doing any digging into the case?

As for the "journalist" who printed that absolute garbage, I wonder if it was always like this? Surely there must have been a time when he aspired to be a real journalist, in the Woodward and Bernstein mould, breaking stories, and exposing corruption, but he got married, had a couple of kids. The bills started mounting up, now here he is, rehashing completely made up garbage from a two bob Arlene Foster wannabe.

I really hope some scumbag over there to see the Celtic game, didn't put his lighter to the bunting around the pub, but you can't rule anything out. I think however I'll wait until there's been an actual police investigation before I start blaming anyone, unlike the press, and the lovely Debbie.

I certainly wouldnt wear a northern ireland top if there were thousands of celtic fans were in the same place

I would be wary of wearing a Celtic top walking past thousands of Rangers fans, but I wouldn't go to the press whining about it.

Also, I highly doubt there would be any trouble wearing a Northern Ireland top, but sometimes, to use an old saying, discretion is the better part of valour, and I think a lot of people would decide not to wear their footie tops, until the opposition fans have left the area.

Debbie has claimed they've been warned not to wear tops, and young women have been warned not to go to that part of town. Warned by who, I wonder? A more cynical guy than me could get the impression they've spoke amongst themselves, decided not to wear their tops, then came up with story that they've been warned not to do it, or let girls go to the strip.
