Seriously, what point are you trying to make? You're acting like Kris Boyd, and just reacting, instead of actually addressing any of the points I've made. Have I ever claimed to be unbiased. I think I said everyone has a bias, even pundits, but they tend not to act like a child throwing their toys out of the pram the way Boyd did on Sunday.
Are you accusing Clancy of cheating? He missed a handball that expert pundit Boyd obviously missed himself at first. The Rangers were screaming for VAR a couple of weeks ago, as they claimed they just want fairness. They were also raging on Sunday about Celtic's goal, but strangely enough didn't mention that Celtic's penalty should have been retaken due to encroachment. A more cynical guy than me could get the impression that instead of wanting fairness, The Rangers just want everything their own way.
Remember the days of "Parkhead Paranoia" when Celtic fans were branded paranoid when they said some Rangers supporting officials may let their hearts rule their heads on occasions? If only we could go back to the good old days of Jim McCluskey, JRP Gordon, and The Reverend Mike McCurry, who didn't seem to even bother going through the motions of trying to appear impartial. I wonder how The Rangers would feel if it were reported in the paper that a Scottish ref had been spoken to by the police for being drunk at a Republican, or Hibernian, march, like Mr McCluskey was at an Orange Order march?
I believe 100% Clancy refereed the game fairly. Don't you? As for him refereeing it correctly, like every ref he missed incidents that would have been overturned if VAR were in operation, but apart from that I thought he had a decent enough game. In every single game of football there will be incidents that supporters on both sides feel should have been awarded in their favour, or tackles by opponents that should be have punished with a card, or one of their players was carded and they didn't think it was justified. I tend to get angry about ludicrous decisions that you wonder how the officials missed them, not something I need a replay to spot.
It seems to me the trouble with The Rangers support is they've had so much go for them in the past when it comes to refereeing decisions that they feel outraged about bawhair decisions that can only be seen on replays. Perhaps if Rangers fans had seen an opponent dive and punch the ball away from goal, with all 6 officials managing to miss it, they would know the difference between baffling decisions, and bawhair decisions?
