The rangers v wee rangers another interesting tie.
The latest announcement is that all football below Championship level , including the Scottish Cup, is suspended until 1st February, so the Rangers v Cove match will have to wait too.
It‘ll be an excellent platform for the Cove players to show off their skills, with 5 or 6 of them still around from their Highland League days with players like Megginson, Milne, Yule and Masson being some of the best to have played Highland League in recent years. It’s great to see them doing so well even playing two leagues up , Ibrox will be a different level again for them particularly in terms of fitness levels of still part time players , but heh it’s a one off Cup game and Rangers won’t be able to treat them too lightly despite the huge gap on paper.

The reality is that a case could well have occurred had the team remained in Scotland, as other cases have done in Scottish football and across UK sport in the past week.

Celtic has done everything it can to ensure we have in place the very best procedures and protocols. From the outset of the pandemic, Celtic has worked closely with the Scottish Government and Scottish football and we will continue to do so.

They act as if the announcement AFTER they left had somehow changed the landscape, suddenly because it was then legally unallowable it was only a bad idea to travel after the announcement. What planet do the board and management live on? Cases were rising, hence the announcement, leaked well before they left, became inevitable.

Dubai was NEVER a good idea even if Neill Lennon and the hopelessly out of touch board still think it was.

Another thing to consider is that Celtic would probably beat Hibs at home.

Hibs now must be favourites if most of the Celtic first team have to isolate.

That can have a big impact on final league positions. If Hibs lose then Livingston could go level on points with their game in hand.

The whole Dubai trip was arrogant and stupid.

Celtic really should have points docked for that Dubai trip. Utter stupidity. Hope Hibs batter them.
Shame Stevie G La is going to be the beneficiary of Celtic's uselessness

Arrogance beyond belief.

Tbf to Strachan he's relatively junior in the managerial and coaching hierarchy and is looking to advance his career. The very worst thing he could do is directly contradict the horrendously out of touch board and truly dismal management above him. It's a far better idea to just toe the party line they've already given if he wants to advance his career at Celtic. He knows his opinion will hardly be listened to anyway.

Agree to a point, yes he's not going to say it was a dumb thing to do, but he could have either gave a more sensible answer or asked that the question be addressed to the board, he's trying to defend the indefensible here and making himself look daft in the process.
