I'm from Cork and if this guy is a Rangers fan and he's Irish then he's either at a serious wind up or he's not the full shilling. Being Irish and supporting the biggest Anti Irish club in Britain with the most anti Irish fanbase makes no sense. I wonder how he would be received at Ibrox with his Cork accent if he's even Irish.
Or an attention seeker.

They have had irish players, a dub called Jon Daly, who was their top scorer one year, there was a goalie from Cobh on their books as well, but he never got a game. We like what we like, and don't like what we don't like. If anyone has a problem, then there's not much i can do about that. I started liking them when i was a kid, i was a fan of some of the great players they had, and i liked the shirt. I wasn't aware of any other stuff. Let's leave the politics and the religion out of football.

You can try and leave politics and religion out of football no problem whatsoever but that club you claim to like and support can't and it's part of their make up. Do you think you'd be well received at Ibrox or welcomed with open arms if you walked into a Rangers bar in Glasgow with a Southern Irish accent??? You're very naive tbh. It's one thing liking them but you genuinely have no clue what their supporters are like let's be perfectly honest.

Oh and @The Celtic View where now for Celtic? Obviously there will be a new manager, and i think there was an element of Celtic imploding as well. The board were hoping to keep winning on the cheap, but a huge spanner has been put in that works. It looks like the 10 in a row, will forever remain elusive.

There has to be a complete rethink at Celtic. Our players don't seem to have the desire anymore.

With the results Rangers have had this season its no disgrace being behind them in the table. What is a disgrace is the amount of points we're behind them. The season has been a disaster for Celtic.

Don't understand it at all mate. It's a disgrace really. The police haven't covered themselves in glory. 120k people have died as a result of this pandemic.

I mean I should say, we had all the same arguments about merseyside policy and Liverpool last year. Everyone predicted it, including the Major. They just sat back and did nothing when they were advertising a big celebration. An absolute joke, while most of society follow the rules.

Fair play to Police Scotland for their assistance in making sure TRIFC fans got to George Square to have a party.

It's precisely because rangers as a club DIDN'T leave politics and religion out of football that they are so hateful. Celtic always picked players from all religions, it took rangers until the 1990's to buy their first catholic. They have always been a rabid anti-irish, anti-catholic club. You are a treasonous fool. Saying you weren't/aren't aware 'of any other stuff' is a cop-out and frankly unbelievable. As Irish toffee has already said, how you can like a club who's fans would dance on your head if they knew you were from cork is ridiculous. It's like Nelson Mandela saying he liked the KKK. Sort yourself out.

Well im irish but im not an irish republican. I'll like what i want, and no one here, and no one anywhere else, will dictate to me what i can and cannot like. Your offended that i like Rangers, but im also offended that you and anyone else on here, would be offended that i like Rangers. There was a thread about southern Irish based Rangers fans, on the republic of irelands teams boys in green fan site, and lots of people were open minded about the matter, and said they have no issues with it.
