This could work, he’s obviously going to lose some key players in Brown and possibly Christie, Eduard and McGregor but he’s worked with small budgets getting Bournemouth up through the leagues so as long as he doesn’t go after RS no marks for mental prices, he’ll be fine. Could turn into another Rodgers situation for them

Howe v Gerrard

I'm seeing this as Everton v Liverpool.

That's exactly the right way to view this as well.

Howe the Evertonian to put Gerrard back in his box once and for all. I dont want any alleged Evertonian cheering for him next season. I'm not normally preachy, but that feels like a red line for me now.

Eddie Howe will blitz that league as well.

The bookies have had a field day with this. Benitez was 1/7 , Keane 1/4, Kenned 1/3 and that Maresca was odds on at one point. Sums up the way that clubs run. Should have been sorted ages ago. I've always liked Eddie Howe, I think he can do a good job. I was convinced he was going to end up here when Silva was on his way out.

Doubt it.
He has a lot of work to do with the current set up.
Hell need some cash.
Comes across as completely different from Lennon, could be a shock for the players.
And no I don't rate Gerrard.

All due respect intended, but that comment reeks of someone who never watches the league

Plenty of people have gone up there with assorted pundits saying they'll "destroy the league" and whatnot, and it's not happened

Warburton has had success in England as a manager for instance and he absolutely defecated the bed as Rangers manager

He might do well, he might not, but it's by no means the dead cert you're presenting it as

Yep. I don't think people realise what its like up there with the big two. Crap league for sure but it's a pressure cooker within Glasgow.

Just my opinion mate. Think it's a great fit for Celtic and he would suit having a club with such high resources.
