Scottish Cup today with three Highland League teams still in it. The best opportunity lies with Brora who for me are favourites to beat. League 2 Stranraer. This must be one of the longest journeys in Scottish football for Stranraer . Formartine have the toughest task against Motherwell, hard to see them winning that . Fraserburgh against Montrose is a difficult one to call . On paper League 1 Montrose will win it , but the Broch are a tough team to beat at home , particularly if the wind is blowing. Unlike the other two teams I look on the Broch as a proper community team , not the same amount of money as the others but always bringing on local boys where they can , Good luck to them all!

Good to see Rangers are back.
Back moaning did you mean? they've just appealed against the ban on 5 players who put their own and more importantly other lives at risk by having a lockdown party.
The club had an an opportunity here to set an example and hammer them but instead chose to appeal their bans they really are the kopites of Scottish football.

Great comeback by Stranraer, facing elimination 1-0 down with two minutes to go.

AET Brora 1 Stranraer 3

The others not so close although Fraserburgh were 2-2 after 68 mins

Fraserburgh 2 Montrose 4

Formartine 0 Motherwell 5

All three bite the dust

Ah the one trick pony is back again. What other stuff are you not defending? Don't just try and brush it under the carpet and change the subject.
Anyone who purports to be an Evertonian yet also supports a team managed by Gerrard should be ashamed of themselves but as we know the fact you're a proven racist on here and still gobbing off, you know no shame.
Go back to your other thread playing the plastic hardman chasing alleged kopites about, you have nothing to offer this thread except peddling Rangers propaganda which nobody wants to listen to.

What was your opinion on the Dubai trip, the covid bubble rule breaches by multiple players and staff, the fact that they then brought covid back to the country with them and the decision by the football authorities to issue zero punishments?
Just wondering?

Glad you were wondering, I thought they should have had the book thrown at them .

So Rangers highlighting the double standards regarding punishment is understandable then?
They should take their punishment, that's the trouble with the Old Firm it's the whatabouttery that's stopping both clubs move into the 21st century and you've just shown a perfect example, I actually thought you were biggerr than that, Celtic should have been punished in some way, shape or form, nobody can sensibly argue otherwise but 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Would have loved another diddy team to go through today, watched a bit of the Dumbarton v Aberdeen game today, the Don's were the better side but Dumbarton had enough chances to cause a shock, Glass has a big job on his hands but I sense better times ahead for Aberdeen.
A big ask for the Highland League teams was made more difficult by not playing any league games this year. Still always nice to talk about Scottish football outside “ the Glasgow two” :)

I'm fully behind setting an example and both clubs should be punished and heavily. However once a precedent has been set earlier within this very same season it's difficult to argue an appeal citing such is just more whataboutery. Having taken no action earlier the football authorities have given any rivals transgressing Covid restrictions in the same season a stick to beat them with.

Yes two wrongs don't make a right but equally that precedent being set was a mistake that can't be fixed - unless they can now punish retrospectively too. Given the fanaticism and febrile atmosphere that is Glasgow, any slight or perceived unequal treatment will be pounced on, the authorities have to be seen to act even handedly. It can't be right to treat one Glasgow club markedly differently to the other.

Either punish Celtic retrospectively and then let the Rangers punishments stand or you have no choice.

I love my football at all levels, and there are still some gems and late developers to be found in lower leagues though sadly not as many as there used to due to the way recruitment is set up nowadays.
I live on the doorstep of Stenhousemuir and was privileged last year to attend their corporate entertainment with a few mates, we thoroughly enjoyed the day and were treated like Kings for the afternoon.
I really feel for the wee clubs during Covid, and yes it's a shame some can't mix and match away from the big two.
Hats off to you mate for championing the smaller but equally important clubs.

In which case would rather see retrospective punishment and both clubs hammered, just can't see them revisiting that one.
They've made a rod for their own back in not punishing Celtic when the opportunity was presented.
