He's not the only problem nor the biggest, but can't work out how his selection can still be justified. Other than the vague concept of 'leadership' which, if we're honest, he's never really gave us. Was a good player, has been a great servant etc, but he's not at the level any more.

Seamus was an outstanding buy and great servant.
Seamus was also finished as a top player 2 years ago and is now one of the major problems in an utterly crap defense.
Ps seamus has character though. Unlike his defensive teammates marshmallow keane and that gum chewing heap of junk holgate

There was a point where he kicked it out for a corner and Pickford had a go at him. He turned round and shrugged as if to say "what was I supposed to do?"

That's not a captain. That makes every other defender just want to not take responsibility for anything...cos the captain doesn't either.

Is a reflection of the state of our team - massively on the decline. He’s drifting towards retirement, we’re drifting towards the championship. Must know he’s not up to it anymore.
